When the Australian government announced that they&#8217;d be opening up quarantine-free travel inbound from New Zealand, I jumped at the chance to get back over to the &#8220;West Island&#8221; and see more of what it had to offer; I was particularly keen to see Western Australia, which we had not had a chance to visit when flying with my brother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/embed?mid=1R-UFSxNhD2pZePzusDSVmyX8GBIQpJPs\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I crossed the Tasman direct this time, straight from Invercargill to Sydney, before heading to Tasmania to visit Ollie (the pilot who&#8217;d flown the rental Cessna 206 with me the previous year).
